Anthony Kicked Her Out — And Demanded She Take Kai Too! You Won’t Believe What Happened Next…đŸ˜±

It started with a knock — not the kind of soft, uncertain tap that asks for permission. It was hard, demanding, and final. Shayla stood outside Anthony's apartment door, clutching a canvas tote bag and her pride, both hanging on by threads.

They hadn’t spoken in two days. After three years of an on-and-off relationship, things had once again come to a boiling point. But this time, it was different.

Inside, Anthony paced like a lion in a cage. His eyes flicked to his phone — unread messages from Shayla. He didn't want to see her. Not now. Not ever, if he was honest with himself. But they shared one thing that couldn’t be left behind so easily: Kai.

Not a child.

Not a dog.

Kai was their 3-year-old African Grey parrot — an absolute genius with a beak sharper than Anthony's sarcasm and a vocabulary just as dangerous. He could mimic Anthony’s laugh, Shayla’s crying, and once, even yelled “I hate you!” during a particularly quiet dinner. No one ever figured out which of them he'd learned it from.

Anthony swung the door open. Shayla stepped back instinctively. The air between them was heavy with resentment.

“I told you not to come back here,” he said flatly.

“You still have my things,” Shayla replied, calm but cautious. “And Kai.”

At the mention of Kai, a squawk erupted from inside the apartment.

“Shaaaylaaa! Where’s my baaaaby?” the bird shrieked from his perch.

Anthony grimaced. “You trained him to say that,” he accused.

“He picked it up on his own,” she shot back.

They stared at each other for a long second, both clearly exhausted by years of emotional tug-of-war. Finally, Anthony stepped aside and gestured toward the hallway.

“Take your crap. And take him too,” he snapped. “I’m done.”

Shayla blinked. "Him?" she echoed, stunned.

“Kai,” Anthony spat. “Take him. You wanted custody? You got it. I can't even think in this apartment anymore without that bird mocking me. I'm going insane.”

Just then, Kai let out a perfect imitation of Anthony’s voice yelling, “Get out!”, followed by a cackling laugh.

“SEE?!” Anthony barked, pointing like the bird had just pulled a knife on him.

Shayla didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She walked in slowly, heart pounding. As she reached for Kai’s cage, he flapped his wings and said, in a singsong voice:

“We’re breaking uuup… againnnn…”

Anthony buried his face in his hands.

“He’s not a pet,” he muttered. “He’s a ghost with feathers.”

But what happened next no one saw coming.

As Shayla turned to leave with Kai's cage in her hand, Anthony muttered under his breath, “He’s your problem now.” But Kai — oh, Kai — had something else to say.

In the clearest, most human voice either of them had ever heard, Kai said:

“Anthony cheated on Shayla with Tianaaa…”

Shayla stopped dead. Her eyes slowly lifted to Anthony, whose blood drained from his face.

“WHAT?!” she barked, spinning around.

“I — That’s NOT TRUE! He doesn’t know what he’s saying!” Anthony stammered.

But Kai doubled down.

“I saw you kiss her in the hall. I saw you kiss her in the hall!” he chirped, gleefully.

Shayla dropped her bag.

“Is that true?” she whispered.

Anthony’s silence said more than words ever could.

“Goodbye, Anthony,” she said through clenched teeth.

She didn’t even bother taking the rest of her things. Just the bird. And the truth.

As she walked down the hallway, Kai squawked once more:

“I always liked her more anyway.”

Three months later, Shayla had moved into her own place. She posted a viral TikTok called “How My Parrot Exposed My Cheating Ex” — and overnight, both she and Kai became internet sensations.

She now runs a podcast called “Birds Know Everything”, and Kai has over 2 million followers. They make a small fortune from brand deals, cameos, and chaotic wisdom.

As for Anthony?

Well... let’s just say parrots never forget.
