(Whispers harshly) I told you we had to be smart about this, Shayla. If Anthony finds out the truth, everything falls apart.

Shayla:
And faking a DNA test is smart? Do you even hear yourself?

Angelina:
I’m doing what I have to. You think I want this? I’m protecting both of us.

Shayla:
Protecting us—or protecting your secrets?

Angelina:
You think he’d stay if he knew the baby might not be his? He already has one foot out the door. This gives him a reason to stay.

Shayla:
So what—you’re going to hand him a fake test and pretend everything’s fine? That’s not just wrong, Angelina. It’s dangerous.

Angelina:
(Steps closer) You think I don’t know that? But you saw how he looked at me last week—cold, suspicious. He’s been asking questions. He’s not going to stop until he knows.

Shayla:
Then let him know the truth. Whatever happens, happens. But dragging me into this lie? Making it look like I’m part of this baby mess? That’s too far.

Angelina:
If he thinks you’re involved, it throws off the timeline. He’ll doubt everything. That gives us control.

Shayla:
Control? This isn’t chess, Angelina. It’s people’s lives.

(There’s a knock at the door. They both freeze.)

Angelina:
That’s him. Act normal.

Shayla:
You’re going to regret this.

Angelina:
