Arby gave the DNA report to Anthony and told the whole truth that Kai isnt your Son😱
The Truth in the DNA
The rain pelted against the windows of Anthony’s apartment, as if the sky itself couldn’t bear the weight of the truth that was about to be revealed. Arby stood in the doorway, soaked and pale, clutching a thin manila envelope like it was a live grenade.
"Anthony..." Arby’s voice trembled. "We need to talk."
Anthony, lounging on the couch with a photo album in his lap, looked up. The album was open to a picture of Kai — bright-eyed, full of life, six years old and completely unaware of the storm brewing.
"What is it?" Anthony asked, sitting up. "You look like you’ve seen a ghost."
Arby stepped in, shut the door behind him, and handed him the envelope. “It’s about Kai.”
Anthony furrowed his brows as he opened it. Inside was a DNA report — fresh from the lab, the pages still warm from the printer. He flipped through the results quickly. Then he froze.
“Probability of paternity: 0.00%”
Time stopped. The silence in the room grew louder than thunder. The paper trembled in his hands as he turned to Arby.
"What is this?" Anthony asked, voice cracking.
"I’m so sorry," Arby said. “I didn’t know how to tell you. But you deserve the truth. Kai… he’s not your son.”
Anthony’s world imploded. Every memory — the first steps, the bedtime stories, the scraped knees he kissed — all of it flashed through his mind like a cruel montage.
"But how? Melissa… she told me—"
"I know," Arby interrupted gently. "She lied. I overheard her a month ago talking to her sister. That’s when I got suspicious. I did the test behind your back. I had to be sure."
Anthony stood, staggered, as if hit by a punch he didn’t see coming. His legs threatened to give way.
"So who’s his father, then?" Anthony’s voice was a whisper, cold and sharp.
Arby looked away, guilt scrawled across his face. “That… I don’t know. But it’s not you.”
The room fell into silence again. Outside, lightning split the sky.
Anthony walked to the window, eyes fixed on the storm, thoughts spiraling. He wasn’t sure what hurt more — the betrayal, the lie, or the realization that Kai, the boy he raised as his own, might never have truly been his.
But then, a small voice came from the hallway. “Daddy?”
Kai stood there, sleepy-eyed, his favorite stuffed bear dragging behind him. Anthony turned around slowly.
In that moment, the DNA report meant nothing.
